The Hot Rod & Art Show at Weil am Rhein 2008, organized by Smokin Shutdown and Road Devils Europe CC supported by Edwin.
A small show, by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. At their very first edition of that show (2007) legends like Gene Winfield and Lil Daddy Roth already made their appearance. This year they welcomed someone who laid the foundation stone for Kustom Kulture itself, Robert Williams (for the first time ever in Germany).
They were very happy to welcome back extraordinary artist Lil Daddy Roth, too. The program of this show was pretty entertaining I should say: tiki carver Haikai created a mind blowing tiki out of a regular tree trunk, Robert Williams had a live book signing, Lil Daddy Roth airbrushed loads of cars and car-parts, Hellmade organized a corset fashion show featuring 13 beautiful girls, we hosted a hot rod workshop showing the audience how to build a frame, 3 bands were playing, and last but not least the glorious burlesque show of the Harbour Pearls in the night.
All the rods and customs as well as their drivers were just outstanding!A damn cool event, incredibly nice people, unique artists, great photographers.
